Everything you need to know

  • Russia is safe to travel and currently open for tourism since April 2022.
  • Lake Baikal is situated in Siberia, Asia region just north to Ulaan bator, Mongolia
  • Due to western sanction on Russia, Visa or Mastercard are not working in Russia. Participants will need to bring enough cash
  • You will stay in a 4 stars hotel in Irkutsk city and 3 stars guest house on Olkhon island.
  • All transportations during the trip are private transport.
  • Winter in this area can be as low as -20 degree but dry condition.
  • Please allocate RM30-40 for each meal per pax. (This is in higher price range.)
  • We will apply your E-Visa a month prior to departure.
  • Last but not least, again, RUSSIA IS SAFE TO TRAVEL

What To Expect

You will be in the Siberian taiga. Expect a harsh weather condition at below – 20 degree celcius. Please wear at least 3 layers of clothing.

In a nice season with good wind earlier of the winter, you will get the clear see-through frozen lake surface, instead of snow covered. There will be plenty of ice cave for an awesome photo spots.

Make sure to bring lip balm as the extreme dry cold weather will most likely crack your lips.

Prepare some extra batteries for your camera since battery exhaust faster in cold environment.

Can I make installment payment?

Yes, You can make installment payment. You can make 10% deposit to secure your booking. We allow you to make another 4 installment for the remaining balance. As long as it fit the due date as follow:

60% payment completed 3 months prior departure date

100% payment completed 45 days prior departure date

We now accept credit card payment via Paypal gateway

I'm a solo traveller, is there a single supplement?

Yes. We will gladly arrange for single room for your stay. But, if you prefer to have a room mate, we will match and assign another solo traveler of the same gender.

Which currency is most widely accepted on this tour?

Russia is using their own local currency known as Russian Ruble

Should I book pre/post tour accommodation?

In case your flight will be earlier than starting date or later than end date of the tour, you may consider to book pre/post tour accommodation.

What is cancellation policy?

Cancellation & Refunds
No refunds will be given if booking is cancelled less than 45 days from date of departure.
50% refunds from what remained will be given if booking is cancelled no less than 45 days from date of departure.
The 10% deposit is non-refundable, but shall be contra as deposit for any other trip within 365 calendar days.
